Nonnormative Body Club

This little bean is about to spend more time out of the house being cared for by others, which among other things means I’m about to have space for new clients for the first time in a year. I have lots of competing thoughts and feelings about this award, and I’m trying to let the good ones come through.⁣

I’m still new to the scene (Philly and training). I’m very much a student and honored to have mentors and teachers who have been in this work for decades. ⁣
⁣
The skills that I feel most pride in as a trainer are the skills I built over many years as a youth worker and organizer. Building power through connecting individuals to one another. Listening deeply and being curious. Challenging oppressive narratives around and within us. Prioritizing relationships and community above all else.⁣
