NL East Standings heading into the second half!

The 2x defending champion Phillies are just 2.0 GB of the Atlanta Braves after being down 11 games earlier in the year. The Nats and Marlins are also within striking distance, as it looks like it’ll be another thrilling division race in the National League East.

Will the Phillies manage to 3-peat?

PHILLIES FIRST HALF GRADES!

The Phillies concluded the first half of the season at 54-43, 11 games over .500. After a disastrous 9-19 start, they have climbed back to 2 GB in the NL East race.

Some key notes to try to beat the comments 😅:

1. Jose Alvarado getting a C- with a 6.82 ERA. Please look at the advanced numbers. I was shocked when I checked his Savant page. Don’t totally sell stock on him yet (even though I have definitely screamed about wanting him DFA’d 😂)

2. Tanner Banks the only F. Nothing looks good for Banks, he likely will not see Major League time the rest of the year barring injuries.

3. Derek Hill getting an A. Gotta give Dombrowski credit, Hill has been fantastic with the Phillies, accumulating 1.3 WAR in only 23 games in Philadelphia.

4. Orion Kerkering getting an A. Not a huge surprise, but he has had an exceptional redemption year this year, needs his flowers.

Gage told reporters after the game he wants to stay at CBP and not return to the minors 😂
