Nick Lawler, general manager of an electric and water provider in Littleton, Massachusetts, says the FBI told him China had hacked into the utility’s network. The hack was caught before the attackers achieved operational control, but the targeting of utilities like those in Littleton has alarmed national security officials. Lawler says the FBI told him that the cyber intrusion in Littleton was one of 200. “If you are willing to go after a small water provider in Littleton, Massachusetts, what other target is off the list? So, from that perspective, this is a national threat,” says former NSA Director Gen. Tim Haugh. “That means every target is on the list.”

In the late 1990s, a gang of dangerous criminals terrorizes Camden, New Jersey, with violent crimes such as shootings and bank robberies. Officer Steven Leoni is shot in the face while responding to gunfire in Camden. Despite being wounded, he provides crucial information leading to the investigation. Through a complex sting operation involving the FBI and local law enforcement, including an ex-cop turned informant, they track the suspects down.
