Just recently I watched a movie Sci Fi and it occurred to me that the human kind are stuck in the proverbial rut. In spite of all our technology and science part of our brain remains just as primitive and savage as it was eons ago. H.G. Wells wrote about the human condition over a hundred years ago and not much has changed. Yes we can split the atom explore our DNA even send spacecraft to the moon and beyond. However we have not learned to live in peace and harmony. Insanity one definition is to do the same thing over and over again and expect different results. Take war for example since history been recorded, just about every conflict was to end all other Conflicts. It has now bought us to the brink of our own destruction. Fueled by greed, prejudice, and hate. It has bought us to the precipice of our own extinction. There's a scene in the film where a truly great fete in science is accomplished, and the protagonist can only think of what use can this be to the military. And I think of today what wonders could humanity create what diseases could be cured if only we could harness the love we have for our families and give it freely to strangers. What type of world would this be, a far sight better than the one we have made for our Selves. When shall humanity back away from the edge of it's own destruction. Surely the rhetoric of present will not help change the present course, P.C. now is said to be a bad thing political correctness is out P.C. for me represents politeness and courteousy. If this type of behavior is to be deemed passe, then I'm in the wrong nation. I've been called all sorts of names like snowflake, libtard, ni**er and a few other nasty words. I ask you is this the world we want to leave to the children is this the kind of record we want to leave to prosperity. Remember evil triumphs when good men do nothing. So the next time you see someone angry at a protester exercising their first amendment rights ask yourself what if it were your issues what if it were your brother or sister. This time it's me next time it might be you.
