Transportation Company Office Manager Assistant / Logistics Coordinator

​Well established long haul transportation company with strong customers base, located in NorthEast Philadelphia, is looking for a dedicated and responsible candidate to fulfill a full time office manager assistant position to support the transportation and operational needs of our logistics office, with a perspective of growth and development within the company.
​
​The position requires direct communication with office staff, drivers, vendors, customers, brokers to ensure maintenance of the information in dispatch system for the billing , safety and operations purposes. The person will be responsible for the coordination and completion of logistics process as well as planning, maintain and update carrier capacities, network optimization, including roundtrip and continuous move planning.
Computer and communication skills are essential as well as strong problem resolution abilities to work well in cross-functional team environment including customer service, logistics, and transportation personnel.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- schedule and maintain trucks and drivers schedule;
- Learn and operate dispatch software program;
- Manage drivers, schedule, updates, phone calls, emails;
- Oversee planning and truck operations to maximize efficiency and profitability;
- Strong problem resolution and critical thinking abilities a must.
- Must posses keen attention to details and coordination aptitude.

​The company is providing a paid training to individuals who do not posses experience in transportation and/or logistics industry.
