A lot of the best things in my life started with a decision that felt a little scary.
Starting a business.
Taking a chance on myself.
Saying yes before I had everything figured out.
Trusting that things would work out even when I couldn’t see the whole path.
The truth is, certainty is overrated.
You don’t need a guarantee.
You just need enough courage to take the next step.
Because the risk you’re afraid to take today might be the exact thing you’re thanking yourself for a year from now.
Worst case? You learn.
Best case? You change your whole life. ❤️
One of the biggest mistakes entrepreneurs make?
Trying to remove themselves from sales too early.
In this conversation with Brian Samson, we talked about something that doesn’t get discussed enough:
People don’t just buy the product.
They buy the passion.
They buy the vision.
They buy the person who built it.
As founders, we often think we need the perfect pitch, the perfect script, or the perfect salesperson.
But customers aren’t looking for perfection.
They’re looking for someone who genuinely cares.
And nobody will ever care about your business more than you do.

One of the most underrated signs that your marketing is working?
Not getting more leads.
Getting better leads.
Over the last few months, I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with a local business in a more strategic, fractional CMO role.
And one of the biggest shifts wasn’t just more inquiries.
It was watching them move from: “We’ll take whatever comes in.”
To: “Actually, that’s not the type of project we want.”
That change is powerful. Because when a business is constantly chasing work, every lead feels urgent.
But when the right systems, messaging, and strategy are in place, something interesting happens:
You stop chasing.
You start choosing.
The goal was never to be busier.
The goal was to build a business that attracts the right opportunities.
And watching that happen in real time has been one of the most rewarding parts of this work. 🙏
P.S. The numbers were pretty incredible too… 🥳 But honestly, that’s not even the most interesting part. If you’re curious what actually changed behind the scenes, my DMs are open.
