SOAR's 3rd "I CAN" Special Olympics Opens TOMORROW on International Children's Day!

SOAR’s “I Can” Special Olympics, held every four years since 2018, empowers participants with physical and intellectual disabilities by providing them opportunities to learn skills that transcend the playing field. Our athletes can hold jobs, go to school, and be active members in their communities.

Our hope is to give them the chance to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, become self-sufficient, and participate in community activities that foster inclusivity throughout Armenia.

International Children's Day, observed annually on June 1, is a global celebration dedicated to promoting the rights and well-being of children.

The day serves as a reminder of the progress made in protecting children's rights, while also highlighting the ongoing challenges they face.

It emphasizes that every child deserves an environment free from discrimination and exploitation.

In celebration of International Children’s Day, join us in making a meaningful difference—help keep our Special Olympics program thriving by making a donation today. Your support brings joy, opportunity, and inspiration to every athlete we serve!

On This Day of Remembrance... 04/24/2026

By the end of the First World War, more than 150,000 Armenian children were left parentless by the Ottoman Empire. The orphaned children who survived overcame significant challenges, but ultimately remained faithful to their religion and nationality.

SOAR continues to support the families of our fallen and severely injured soldiers and prisoners of war and displaced Artsakh families.

During this time of remembrance, consider making a donation to our Families of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund (FFSRF) to ensure that no children of fallen Armenian soldiers are ever institutionalized, https://www.soar-us.org/ffsrf/
or to our Artsakh Family Integration Fund (AFIF) https://www.soar-us.org/afrf/
to help the families forcibly displaced from their homes in the fall of 2023.

Celebrating the Safe Return of Vicken Euljekjian

We are overjoyed to share the news of Prisoner of War (POW) Vicken Euljekjian’s safe return on January 14.

After years of uncertainty, Vicken is now reunited with his family and receiving the care he needs, as his family begins the important process of healing.

This moment reflects the dedication of our teams and supporters through Families of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund (FFSRF), Artsakh Family Integration Fund (AFIF), and Prisoner of War (POW) initiatives, focused on providing humanitarian support, care, and assistance to families affected by conflict.

Our work is guided by compassion, solidarity, and the commitment to stand with Artsakh families and the families of fallen soldiers.

A special thank you to Luciana Minassian, our Buenos Aires Chapter President, whose dedication, and tireless advocacy have played a vital role in supporting POWs and helping bring Vicken home safely.
