A gorgeous, quick portrait sketch of Yael. He left so much room on the canvas, I wonder if he planned to take this further…. This was done in the last few years of Nelson’s life; he was using very impressionistic color, but you can see his discomfort in his work at times. He died ten years ago, next month.
