A funeral, a birthday, family time & Mother’s Day. It’s all happened in the past 72 hours.

My gramps lived 94 JOY filled years. He always had a smile on his face & was always cracking jokes, but never at anyone expense. He taught me to love The Three Stooges, how to make pizzelles and what it was like to be an innovator. He was ALWAYS trying to simplify or improve something in every day life. Every time we went to visit him at Hershey’s Mill he would pull out his Fringe Friend and brush the fringe on the carpet to effortlessly make it picture perfect. It was truly a blessing to have him meet his two great granddaughters shortly before his passing. 💕

We celebrated his life on my 34th birthday. It was rainy, cold and we were surrounded by family. I wouldn’t have changed a thing. ❤️

With some warmer weather and sunshine we had family over to celebrate moms of all ages and types. Godmothers, grandmothers, fur-mothers. All mothers. We celebrated, ate and drank and I did not take one picture. 😂

Today, on Mother’s Day, I rest. It’s a day of reflection on all this weekend has offered. Family. Friends. A funeral. A birthday. It’s truly been full circle.

I hope all you mothers take a few moments for yourself to soak up the phase of life you’re in. It might be difficult, exhausting and draining but there is always GOOD. Take a lesson from my gramps and look for the good. Find the joy. Figure out how to laugh & innovate this ONE life we have ❤️
