So in cosmology school they teach you to identify your client!
Meaning satisfy the person that is paying you! Not the kid in the chair that wants purple hair, but the mom!
Not the bossy mother of the bride, who wants a full facial, but the bride & what fits her budget! Now a good make up artist will walk that fine line of appeasing both!
I find it the same on set! It's very important to identify the client & make the talent feel like your taking care of them!
You will find that you will be bombarded with opions! Some helpful but most from people who have no idea of what you or the director & producer are going for! Same with still photography! Know your photographer & what his vision is!
The best is when you find that person who trust you and just leaves you to do your job!
