Dedicated to the goddess Isis, this temple was nearly lost to the rising waters of the Nile—until an extraordinary effort preserved it, stone by stone.

But what stays with you isn’t just the history…

It’s the feeling of standing in a place where people, thousands of years ago, were asking the same questions we still ask today.
