To no fault of her own 15 months old Coco needs a home. She's utd on shots and full of energy, typically for her still puppy like behavior. She's eager to learn, and a happy girl. Coco should be the only dog, and no cats. Calmer and confident make dogs may be ok after slow introduction with an experienced handier. If you interested in Coco, please pm me.

A tribute to Tommy! The dog that started it all.

It all began with our first dog named Tommy, a Terrier mix, rescued from a shelter in Germany chosen because he was timestamped with only 24 hours left to live. He was approximately 18-24 months old when we adopted him. All odds were against this guy-he suffered severe trauma, physical abuse, covered in open wounds, and a broken spirit. Poor thing was terrified of everything and had never been trained. Anthony and I were in our early 20’s with no experience of owning a dog let alone knowledge of training one. Anthony was in the military and often away and I utilized every free time I had to work on Tommy. I studied Tommy’s behavior, his reactions, his eating habits and watching his every move. I took him on long walks for hours during the week and half-day hikes every weekend to build a bond. I started researching dog training, attended seminars, bought every How To dog training book I could get my hands on. After comparing multiple methods of training techniques and understanding his shortcomings, we knew that evasive training would not have worked on Tommy. The relationship between Tommy and Anthony took longer, but consistency and patience paid off. We realized that building a relationship and trust, was the best method. It was the longest four years, and often frustrating, but looking back it was a hugely rewarding experience. Tommy lived to be 16 years old and taught us so much about dog behavior which we apply in practice with the many difficult dogs we rescued, trained and rehabilitated.
So today we want to give a big shout out to the dog that started it all and provided us with the knowledge to pass on.

RIP 1989-2003. You will always be in my heart. Thank you for trusting us.
