Nathan “Uncle Nearest” Green, born into slavery and emancipated after the Civil War, he is known as the master distiller who taught distilling techniques to Jack Daniel, founder of the Jack Daniel Tennessee whiskey distillery. Jack Daniels whiskey is the most successful American whiskey of all time. Some of Uncle Nearest’s descendants were involved as well and still work in the whiskey industry ’til this day! We deserve a biopic on this man don’t you think ?
