“What overflows from the heart will flow through your words—guard it, nurture it, and let it speak life.”

There’s something we’ve missed in the story of the prodigal son…

We focus on the son’s rebellion,
but heaven is revealing the Father’s posture.

When the son demanded his inheritance—he was released.
When the son walked away—he was still covered.
When the son returned broken—he was restored.

And it hit me…

This is the same pattern we see in Romans 1.

God will release you.
Not because He doesn’t love you—
but because He does.

He will remove His restraint
and allow you to walk the path you chose…
not to destroy you,
but so you can see the end of yourself
and remember the way back to Him.

And while you’re out there—
He’s not absent.

He’s watching.
He’s waiting.
He’s ready.

Parents… take note.

We are not called to control every decision,
but we are called to carry the heart of the Father.

Release them in faith.
Cover them in prayer.
Stay watchful in spirit.
And when they return—restore, don’t rehearse their failure.

Don’t just let life teach them…
Seek God while life is teaching them.

Because when they come home,
they shouldn’t just find consequences…

They should find love that still recognizes them.
