Help me settle this debate please

This is our living room. Wife and I have always agreed on decoration and this is the first time we strongly disagree on something, I'm 100% team curtains for our large window and she's 100% team blind. Her point is that we have a small step there which leads into the balcony and that would be under the curtain and kinda weird, which I can understand but my point is that the curtain highlights our high ceiling and fits our space better.


Her vote counts twice, I know. But I'm here to hear from the experts of the internet and see if there's something we might be missing, maybe a third option?
