One of the biggest mistakes cruisers make is booking a cabin they don't actually need.

Before choosing your room, ask yourself: How much time am I really going to spend in my cabin?

🚢 Inside Cabin
The most budget-friendly option. Inside cabins are dark, which makes for some amazing sleep, and they're surprisingly efficient with storage space. Plus, because you don't have a view, you're more likely to get out and enjoy everything the ship has to offer.

🌊 Ocean View Cabin
Want some natural light without paying balcony prices? An ocean view cabin gives you a window to the sea and can make the room feel more open and spacious.

☀️ Balcony Cabin
A favorite for many cruisers. Depending on the ship, your balcony may overlook the ocean or even an interior promenade. You'll have your own private outdoor space to enjoy fresh air, watch sailaways, and take in the views.

✨ Suite
If you want extra space and premium perks, a suite may be worth considering. Many suites offer larger living areas, bigger balconies, additional storage, priority benefits, and sometimes even butler service.

Here's my advice: Don't book a cabin based on what looks nicest online. Book based on how you actually cruise.

A balcony or suite can be wonderful, but if you're planning to spend all day exploring the ship, relaxing by the pool, enjoying shows, and visiting ports, are you really going to spend enough time in the room to justify the extra cost?

There's no right or wrong answer—just the cabin that's right for your vacation style and budget.
