In the quiet of the evening, before anything had been restored or reimagined, Sue Brewer would carry a simple lawn chair a few yards from her home. There she would sit and admire the historic barn that stood just beyond her backyard. There she would imagine what life once may have been like, surrounded by aged wood as she took in the faint scent of years long passed.

Long before this home in Cambridge Shores took shape, before porches were expanded and ceilings lifted, Pamela Sirls was a little girl visiting the shoreline with her family. The lake has shaped a significant part of their life’s story: summer days, family gatherings, and a sense of place that never quite left.
