In today’s Faces Behind the Mission, meet Angie Uttecht, a board member who serves on our finance committee. Angie first got involved with Ataxia Connection while working at a CPA firm, where a partner recommended she connect with Theresa, our Executive Director. The two formed an immediate connection, and Angie felt compelled to offer her skills to help support the mission in any way she could.

When asked what she wishes more people knew about Ataxia, Angie shared: “I wish there was more awareness of the disease and its debilitating effects on those who are diagnosed. Creating more understanding leads to greater compassion.”

Outside of her involvement with Ataxia Connection, Angie enjoys traveling abroad with her family. They have shared many memorable adventures together and love experiencing new cultures. We are so grateful for Angie’s generosity, dedication, and heart for this community!
