Nebraska Storm Chasing Network

A tornado watch has been issued until 10PM Monday evening for portions of south-central Nebraska.

⚠️ Severe Weather Threat This Afternoon and Tonight ⚠️

Nebraska will be watching storms develop to our west this afternoon across eastern Colorado before moving east into western Nebraska this evening.

The atmosphere will become increasingly favorable for severe thunderstorms, with large hail expected to be the primary threat during the afternoon and early evening. As storms move into western Nebraska, they may strengthen further and become capable of producing tornadoes, very large hail, and damaging wind gusts.

By mid to late evening, storms are expected to organize into a line as they move across southwest Nebraska. At that point, the threat for widespread damaging winds will increase, with storms continuing eastward through the overnight hours.

Areas across southwest and western Nebraska should closely monitor the forecast today and have multiple ways to receive warnings, especially if you have outdoor plans this evening or overnight.
