For a long time now I've just kinda nodded and said yes while my doses went up and up, and more scripts kept piling on top of each other. I knew it was too much and getting out of hand, but I chose numbness over feeling whatever my brain had in store for me. So I just accepted it.

Last year I got a second opinion and found a therapist I trust, and started a plan to come down safely. Teaching my nervous system how to regulate itself again after all these years has been one of the most difficult things I've done, but I can see myself in the mirror now at least.

This has been and will continue to be a long road, and now I'm not doing it in secret anymore. I'm just really happy to be here. 🤘🖤
