Good Farm

Looking at farmland for sale and I gotta say I am sick of seeing “property owner would like to see the land remain in production and support the next generation of farmers” and then they’re asking for over a million $$
The next generation of farmers does not have that money or the ability to get a loan for that money.
This was an extreme example but I see it so much. So many young people want to farm and the few people who are trying to sell their farms are selling for a price that most aspiring farmers could never come up with.
I understand the perspective that the landowner put a lot of work into their land and it’s worth a lot but if you really want to “help the next generation” do them a favor and actually help them.
It’s depressing and honestly distressing… where’s the food gonna come from in 10 years if/ when we can’t rely on California or other countries?
