HOLY GOD NEEDS ME

Why does God need me to get things done? It’s a bit of a puzzle, wouldn’t you say? You might say God doesn’t need you and I would want to agree with you, but Our Lord has chosen to need not just me, and not just you, but ALL people.

Did you hear about the altar server, a young 8-year-old, who served the 8:30 AM Holy Mass every Sunday? For months he would remain on after the Holy Mass he had served till about 9:15, until he saw an altar server present for the next Holy Mass. The priest asked him once why he remained. “I wanted to make sure Father, that there was somebody here to wash away your sins and cleanse you from all your iniquities”, said the little boy.

Right now, it’s 11:44 am, July the 28th. God willing, around 2:00 pm today, I will be in the confession room. I say ‘God willing’ because one never knows, the Angel of Death may come for me. Now let’s suppose there are about 55 people waiting, as there usually are, and one by one all 55 individually confess their sin and I listen. Can you see how Our Blessed Lord needs me? Through me He speaks to the 55, one by one, ‘your sins are forgiven’, and again, God willing, at Holy Mass at 4:00 p.m. He will need me to give you His Body and Blood, His Most Precious Body and Blood in the form of bread and wine.

The whole point of what I’ve written so far is to tell you Our Lord needs you. ‘Tis a bit of a puzzle, wouldn’t you say? Our Divine Lord needs you; needs you to pray, to intercede, and needs for you to be holy. Look what he says to us, “Seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened to you, ask and you will receive.” Our Lord needs us to ask, seek and knock and we will receive, find and have the door opened to us.

Let’s you and I pick at this moment a city in the United States; Trenton, Atlanta, Miami, Philadelphia. Let’s suppose that the city we pick is the most corrupt, sinful, perverted city in the world. Our Blessed Lord needs us to pray for that city and its people, pray for their sanctification and salvation. Remember when Our Lord had decided to destroy the cities of S***m and Gomorrah, where the unnatural vice of so**my was rampant. Abraham had interceded, prayed for those cities. “Will the Lord of all the earth not be just, said Abraham. “What if there are fifty just men in the city, will you destroy it?”
“For the sake of the fifty, I would not destroy it.”

Had there just been ten just men in S***m, God would have preserved the city, which raises the second need of God for you. God needs for you to be Holy in the city, in your neighborhood, so that the city might be saved. Lord, you have my permission to make me Holy in the city.

WHAT?

I write about the same things all the time, life, death, sin, desire, Jesus Our Lord, Heaven, Hell, Purgatory, The Second Coming of Christ, etc., etc., etc. I don’t write about these things in exactly the same way all the time because as time passes, I get new insights into them. For instance today writing about Heaven, I have no time for language like going to Heaven, or in Heaven, or out of Heaven, or up to Heaven or down from Heaven. All of these words like up, down, in, out to, and from, all imply that Heaven is a place, and if it is a place then it is limited and can’t be heaven. You might remember my famous question, “What is the speed limit in downtown Heaven? I have more to say about this but I must stop now because it’s time for my evening prayer, and if I don’t pray it now it’s not too likely that I will do so tonight, bye for now. It’s 4:20 pm, July 1st, 2007, bye for now.

Good morning, it’s 7:28 am July 2nd, 2007. I think of Heaven in terms of fire, the fires of Heaven, the fires of Our Lord’s Love. The Seraphim are said to be the angels closest to our Lord, and Seraphim means the burning ones. Are the fires of Heaven hotter than the fires of Hell? Scripture has it that the Angel of the Lord appeared to Moses in the shape of a flame of fire coming from the middle of a bush. Moses looked, there was the bush blazing but it was not burnt up. Scripture also has it that eye has not seen, nor ear hear, nor has it entered into the heart of man what God has prepared for those who love Him.

We hear Jesus Our Lord say that I have come to cast fire upon the face of the earth, and would, that it were blazing already. What kind of fire is this? Once when saying one of the Jesus Prayers: “Heart of Jesus burning with love for inflame my heart with love for thee”, over and over again, I saw in my mind’s eye a great and terrible furnace and I was thrown into it and a voice said to me, “This furnace is the Heart of Your Lord. What kind of fire is this? Make me all fire Lord. So what about Hell. Same thing, I think we need some new words instead of into Hell, in Hell, down to Hell, and out of Hell. Is Hell then a place? If it is, how can it be everlasting, since the universe itself will disappear with a roar, the elements will catch fire and the earth and all that is in it will be burnt up? Got to leave again, it’s 7:47 AM, same day. Bye for now.

July 3rd, 2007, 7:33 AM, Feast of St. Thomas. Good morning. The Holy Bible describes Our Lord as a consuming fire; In Hebrews 12:29 and Daniel 7:9 it says His throne was a flame of fire. The Book of Exodus 24:17 says: the appearance of The Lord was like a blazing fire.

Back to Hell; when the possessed man who used to howl among the dead day and night, cut himself with stone, and went about naked confronted Jesus Our Lord with, “I know who you are. You are the Holy one of God.” Our Lord asked him, “What is your name?” He answered, “My name is Legion, for there are many of us.” So question, since the demons are in Hell and yet they lived in this possessed man, where then is Hell?
