Weird side effect of using Tretinoin that there’s not much talk about…

Have you had this issue or know anybody who has had this issue because I am having this issue hard-core! And I know this is exactly what it is usually, it only happens with the oral retinols, but come to find out it does happen with topical use as well!! I’m beyond happy to figure out what it was causing my insomnia, but very sad that this is it.

My sleep is too important to me for this to disrupt it. Tret has done great things for my skin, but my sanity is more important to me.!!
I just wanted to put this out there in case anyone thought that they were going crazy. You are not going crazy. It is your tretinoin that you were using at night. Stop it and see how your sleep gets better.!!

I would go to sleep wake up an hour or more after and tossing turn all night long which raised my anxiety level is crazy because I wasn’t getting proper sleep. And I use a Pea size amount, layered, as directed, and I even started using it earlier in the evening, not right before bed and I still had an issue!!

Tretinoin is a prescription-strength topical retinoid (vitamin A derivative) used primarily to treat acne, reduce fine wrinkles, and improve skin texture by speeding up cell turnover.
