Slipped out of South Haven today and managed this handsome 14 # King and had a nice 9 # brown and finished up the box with coho. Fishing was good.

Fun afternoon out of ludington today. My boy had the day off school so we ran to lud8ngton with hopes of less wind. We were rewarded with light enough wind and sunny skies. Ended up getting our 10, and let go another few more while we pulled lines. Anywhere from 125 to 200 from straight out to the stick. 5 color and 350 copper were best with a couple diver bites and one rigger bite.

My boy and I battled the wind in Ludington for an extended 4 day weekend. We managed to land 10 kings and 5 coho. The kings were all from pm lake or the harbor, while the coho came from the bank up by the bath house. Typical moody fish in pm lake, but there were pretty good numbers of fish coming through. Good sized fish with our largest st 23 # and 6 of the 10 being over 20 #. Lots of jig fisherman in the system and they were catching fish while we trolled. Guys that were able to get out to blue water seemed like they were coming in with good catches. Most small boats were confined to pm lake.

Was able to jump on a friends boat on Lake Erie today. After an hour without a bite, we pulled lines and made a move and sat down on some hungry walleye. After about 2 hours in the new spot, we punched a 3 man limit. Good times. No ice fishing in sight, might as well get on a boat.
