Hello, Illinois composers! Quintet Attacca is partnering with the 2025 Ear Taxi Festival and we want to call your attention to this
spectacular opportunity available to all Illinois-based composers.

***Composer Showcase concerts planned for the Ear Taxi Festival coming up in October 2025. ***

Composer Showcase concerts are a new addition to the festival, and offer TWENTY composers an opportunity to write a new piece, commissioned by Ear Taxi, for either Kaia String Quartet and voice, Quintet Attacca and voice, Lakeshore Rush and voice, or piano and voice. This is your chance to actively participate in the collaboration of vocal and instrumental artistry, which is the theme of the 2025 festival, The Composer's Voice, and have your work in the spotlight as we support the creation of new work through these twenty commissioned premieres.

The application deadline has just been extended to August 8, but we encourage you to submit sooner!

This application is open to ALL Illinois-based composers, whether they are members of NMC or not, but of course we hope to have a strong showing of our NMC members.
