Research shows that when families eat together at least 3 times per week, kids are significantly less likely to struggle with:

• depression
• anxiety
• substance use
• risky behaviors

As a psychiatrist, it blows my mind how underrated this one habit is. I can’t tell You how many of my patients don’t even make time for ONE family dinner a week!

And the truth is, it’s not about the food, it’s about Connection, Consistency and a space where your kids feel seen, heard, and safe.

In a world pulling families apart, this is one of the simplest ways to bring everyone back together.

If you want healthier kids and stronger family dynamics… Start with the dinner table. 3 nights a week. That’s it 👊

When your brain is idle, it goes into screensaver mode 👉 the Default Mode Network.

This is when we experience:

• Mind-wandering
• Self-reflection
• Remembering the past
• Imagining the future
• Daydreaming

The DMN isn’t necessarily bad… it helps us process life.

But for many of us, it turns into an automatic loop of negative thoughts.

When that happens, don’t fuel the flames by diving into the negativity loop. Instead…

1. Observe the thought
2. Breathe, then
3. Choose a better one

Every time you do that, you’re literally rewiring your brain thru neuroplasticity.

Change the thought → change the wiring → change your future 👊
