Back from a lovely family vacation in Florida. I soaked up the sunlight every minute I possibly could...with my SPF 30, hat and umbrella of course! It was wonderful and now I am inspired to see what kind of beautiful light I can create in the studio.

Today is such a beautiful Maine summer day...deep sigh... Recently I went down south and there was a tiny ache in my heart for the things I miss...friends and family, live oak trees, boil & eat shrimp, canopy roads, the gulf of Mexico, the bright Florida sun...but Maine is now my home and days like today remind me of just how lucky I am to live here!

I had an awesome request last week, someone wanted 600 of my stained glass suncatchers! Incredible... and close to impossible for me to accomplish, especially with a full time career and my need for a life outside of my studio! But still, pretty cool! There are many days I wish my creative endeavors could be my full time job...but then I remember how much I hate to be creative on a deadline! Hobbies are so much more fun and relaxing!
