The merch table deserves a seat at the strategic table.

Recently, a manager told us:

“Merch is one of our highest-margin revenue streams, yet it’s one of the areas we spend the least amount of time on.”

That conversation stuck with us.

Since then, we’ve continued hearing and seeing the same challenges at live shows.

Artists sell out of popular sizes.

Fans walk away from long merch lines.

Artists wonder what to bring, what to restock, and what fans are actually buying.

We also see artists and teams who are incredibly intentional about their merchandise, and it shows.

Artists have countless decisions to make every day. We get it.

That’s why we believe the merch table deserves more strategic attention.

Not simply to sell more.

But to create a better fan experience and help artists build more sustainable careers.

What do you think the live music industry is overlooking when it comes to the merch table?

🎤 Merch Cat Artist Spotlight: Hollow Like Her

Hailing from Salt Lake City, Hollow Like Her blends metalcore, emo, and post-hardcore influences into a sound built on melody, intensity, and high-energy live performances.

The band recently worked with Pablo Viveros of Chelsea Grin on two upcoming EPs and has built a reputation for creating memorable fan experiences both on and off the stage.

One of our favorite merch stories? Their handmade dolls of each band member. Each one is unique, and they often sell out.

Swipe through to learn more about the band, their merch, and the stories behind it.

Follow Hollow Like Her and check out their merch at hollowlikeher.com.
