The hard conversations aren’t going away.
Now is the time to lean into community—into shared learning, mutual support, and collective wisdom.
Our Community Engagement & Learning offerings exist for this moment. We provide justice-oriented training and coaching for community and organizational leaders navigating complexity and change.
We’re tackling four areas:
→ Understanding & Combatting Antisemitism
→ The “Big Tent” Approach–Does it Work?
→ Meaningful Engagement Across Difference
→ Understanding, Supporting, and Empowering Gen Z
These workshops are offered online and in person, with practical tools you can bring directly into your community.
This is the work right now, and we’re in it together.

Jewish poverty often doesn’t look like what we expect. As Avodah alum and anti-poverty advocate Rachel Sumekh shares, nearly 1 in 3 Jews is struggling to make ends meet.
When Jewish life isn’t built with economic accessibility in mind, people can be left in the margins. They skip opportunities, miss out on community, and too often feel like Jewish spaces weren’t made for them.
That reality shows up in Avodah, too. Some future Jewish Service Corps Members almost don’t apply—not because they lack the passion or commitment to serve, but because they aren't sure they can afford to.
That’s why we created the Economic Access Fund. The EAF helps ensure that a Corps Member’s financial circumstances never determine whether they can spend a year serving, growing as a leader, and building community.
If you believe Jewish leadership and community should be accessible to everyone, please consider making a gift to the Economic Access Fund.
