Girl Rising

The world needs more women at decision-making tables. We believe that starts by making room for girls today.
This International Day of Women in Diplomacy, we're celebrating the girls of our Advisory Council...young leaders who are using their voices, ideas, and lived experiences to drive change.
Through advocacy, community action, and leadership, they are proving that girls are not waiting for permission to lead. They are already shaping conversations, influencing change, and creating opportunities for the girls who will follow.
Because when girls lead, communities thrive.

This , here’s a glimpse into our work at Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh, through Fatema’s story.
Through the RISE programme, Fatema discovered the confidence to use her voice, share her dreams, and believe in her future. Once quiet and hesitant to share her opinions, Fatema now talks about becoming a leader and advocate for girls. She openly shares her aspirations for higher education with her parents instead of dropping out of school and keeping her dreams to herself.
Her story represents more than 500 at-risk adolescent girls growing up in the same camp, and the millions of refugee girls around the world who are building a home away from home, and who have a right to their education, their skills, their voice, and their adolescent years.

The Girls First Summit 2026 brought together partners, advocates, and changemakers united by a shared belief: that girls deserve communities that stand with them and opportunities to shape their own futures.
Together, over the last decade, this community has reached more than 200,000 girls.
To everyone who filled the room, and everyone who has helped build this journey along the way: thank you. This milestone belongs to you.
The Nation covered the Girls First Summit at 10. Read the full feature.
