"Her math lessons are always relatable like how to save for a down payment for a car. Kerr says It's really fun to watch that learning happen. They're like, ‘Oh, things cost money!" Katherine Kerr teaches 8th graders and said her "biggest opportunity is keeping these students engaged when a lot of them have just checked out in math." Her motivation comes from her past struggles in math, so she makes her lessons fun and relatable.¶
