Today's comes from our Kindergarteners who officially "Moved-Up" yesterday. As Principal Mone P'20,'23 praised them for, they have grown to be curious, kind and confident learners. Eight of our youngest will matriculate to 1st grade, while the other six now become the big brothers of our pre-kindergarten, ready to welcome new 4-year-old Gaels because !

They were the well-earned rewards of a dominating 7-1 victory and second consecutive CYO baseball title for our 7th & 8th Grade Lower School squad behind strong pitching, quality at-bats, timely hitting and baserunning, and lockdown defense. Kudos to the boys and Coaches Fulco LS'81, US'85, P'14,'18 and Donnadio, Sr. P'25,'29! 💪

Iona Prep students Francesco Gjuraj, George Kernberg, Aiden Beirne, Hunter Kowatch, and Jack Schillace were honored for reflecting the values of leadership, compassion, service, and faith at the 2026 Don Bosco Dreams Gala. The Iona Prep Irish Musicians, alongside recent alumni, shared their musical gifts with guests of the gala, which benefits the Don Bosco Community Center’s early childhood bilingual program. Guests included Archbishop Emeritus Timothy Dolan Timothy Cardinal Dolan who is pictured with Chris Luyando, among others supporting the future of our community. Representing Iona Prep during the evening were Brother Thomas Leto, Dr. Anthony Casella, Ms. Alice Smyth, Mrs. Christine Chana, Mrs. Kim Cinguina, Chris Luyando ’26, Conor Adams, Paddy DaRos, Liam O’Brien, Darian Gutierrez ’26, John Cinguina ’25, and Marco Calabro ’26.

Bro. Leto once again took to the stage for the announcement of this year’s Academic and Memorial Award recipients, celebrating the dedication, leadership, and accomplishments demonstrated by members of the Class of 2026 throughout their time at the Upper School.
