About the Experience:
Set sail on a transformative voyage through time, exploring the deep and lasting connections between the Dakota people and the Mississippi River. As we journey along the water, we will learn about cultural landmarks and sacred sites, listening to ancestral teachings and stories that have been passed down in our families.
This is more than a cruise—it's a chance to see the river through Dakota eyes. From ancient legends to pivotal moments in history, the boat becomes a floating classroom where captivating stories come to life. By the time we return to shore, you’ll carry with you a renewed understanding of the harmony between the Dakota people, the river, and the land.

We welcome the return of Yaŋpá, the Spring-Wind of the East, with a community celebration rooted in healing, renewal, and creativity.
Join artists Marlena Myles and Tanáǧidaŋ Tó Wiŋ, alongside special guests, for a powerful gathering that blends Dakota ancestral teachings with modern Indigenous expression.
