🏡 What to Go Over with Your Handyman or Contractor

1. ✅ Scope of Work – What exactly is being done? What’s NOT included?
2. 🗓️ Timeline – Start date, completion date, and how delays will be handled.
3. 💵 Budget & Payment – Total cost, payment schedule, and how change orders work.
4. 🧱 Materials – Who buys them? What brands/types will be used?
5. 🏗️ Permits & Inspections – Who’s handling them? What inspections are required?
6. 👷 Subcontractors – Who’s actually doing the work? Will the contractor be on site?
7. 🚪 Access & Clean-Up – How will they access your home? Will they clean up daily?
8. 📞 Communication – Who do you contact? How often will you get updates?
9. 📄 Contract – Make sure it’s in writing. Ask for proof of license & insurance.
10. 🧹 Final Walkthrough – Make a punch list before the final payment.
