Behind every baller is a mom who’s been there through the early mornings, dirty uniforms, extra reps, and every big moment in between 💗🥎

This weekend, 9U McAfee hits the field at the 13th Annual Mother’s Day Classic ready to compete for all the softball moms cheering from the stands and doing it all behind the scenes.

Better late than never! Our girls proudly rocking their rings from their championship win.

Our girls have been putting in the work behind the scenes and it all paid off this past weekend. After the week of bonding and practice I told them and our parents I really felt this was our weekend. I could sense how locked in our girls were all week leading up to the tournament, and boy was I right!

After securing the 1 seed in pool play on Saturday, we had the bye to start bracket play before playing the winner of 2 solid ball clubs. We ended up facing Focus Softball out of Ohio who was very sound. They were able to execute small ball (bunting and aggressive base running) to put pressure on us but our girls never gave up. We came back late in the game with some key hitting when it counted most and then closed it out defensively after taking the lead to move us to the championship 6-3. In the championship we faced a strong Indiana Magic Gold team that had just beat 2 really good teams to reach the finals. We knew we would have to play our game if we wanted to win. We bounced on them early and never looked back, winning 12-5!

We had great pitching (Adeline, Reagan and Maddie) and defense all weekend. Offensively, Allie and Kylie were on 🔥 at the plate, going a combined 4-4 with 5 RBIs in the championship to cap off this run.

The trophies/bats/rings are great, but what’s even better is seeing the smiles on the girls’ (and their families/friends) faces after winning and them getting to witness their hardwork paying off.

Thanks for all the love and support everyone has shown to these girls! We aren’t finished, we’re just getting started! USSSA Battle of the Bats Champions!!

Our girls came out to play yesterday for pool play and went 1-0-1 and finishing with the 1 seed to secure the bye in bracket play. We started our day out with a tough game against a good Indiana Arabians team that ended with a 4-4 tie before going right back on the field and playing Diamond Dawgs for a 19-1 win.

Shout out to our #3 Allie “Snacks” Glidewell on getting the hype chain for her big hits and tenacious play!

Today we start pool play at 1:15 and our girls are well rested and ready for a big day.

As much as we love softball, we felt a night off from the grind to let the girls mentally reset and just have fun and bond before our tournament this weekend was important. Last night the girls got to make some clips to handout this weekend, play some kickball, and we grilled out. We had a ball! Thanks to the parents for all the help in making this happen as our girls really enjoyed it. Lauren Theobald we appreciate you capturing these moments for us!

Big shoutout to our #48 Reagan Chambers for bringing home 1st place out of 3rd grade at Grantline Elementary’s Science Fair! 🥇🔬

We’re incredibly proud of her hard work, dedication, and curiosity in the classroom. Reagan continues to prove that she’s not only a star on the ball field, but a star in the classroom too!

Also to add, she came straight from being recognized for her schoolwork to hopping into practice without missing a beat and was our Knockout Queen tonight to end practice!
