Generic Ministry

Once again the youth group is crushing it and met the van on the common to check in with John and all our other clients. They handed out cookies, gift cards and walked around to check in on folks. They also listened to stories, helped hand out donations and asked for feedback on a potential new name.

At our monthly lunch meeting yesterday, we hosted two guests who lead important work in and beyond our town: Rick Vincent, Vice President of Generic Ministry, and Chris Gosselin, Director of Instructional Technology and Innovation for Needham Public Schools. We’re grateful for all we learned about how Generic Ministry serves unhoused clients in Boston, and about how NPS is responding to the “arrival technology” of AI. Many thanks as well to this month’s hosts, First Church of Christ, Scientist!

A HUGE thank you to the First Parish of Westwood for collecting 544 items - clothing and toiletries - during Lent. AND they will be making sandwiches for us in May! We are very appreciative of their support and look forward to ongoing collaboration. Items collected were so helpful, they went right on the van, and we didn't get a photo!
