It's Day 10 of posting Odin until he's adopted!🥺

Today's Odin fun fact: Odin urgently needs a foster or adopter by the end of July.

This is a post we were really hoping we wouldn't have to make. 💔

Odin's foster is moving at the end of the month, and while we were hoping his next move would be into his forever home, it's been nothing but crickets. We honestly can't believe it's taken this long. Every single day we post him, hoping today will be the day someone falls in love with him... and every single day, nothing. It's heartbreaking because we know just how incredible this boy is.

Odin truly is an amazing dog. He's great with all people and kids, does well with medium and large dogs, couldn't care less about cats, and he's both potty trained and kennel trained. He's sweet, loyal, goofy, and so ready to be someone's best friend. He doesn't need anything fancy—just someone willing to give him the chance he's never had.

If you aren't ready to adopt, fostering him would mean the world. He needs somewhere safe to go by the end of July, and we'd love nothing more than for that place to be his forever home instead.

Please help us prove that his family is out there. Share this post, tag your friends, and let's finally get Odin the happy ending he deserves. 🩵

Follow along as we post Odin every day until he finds his forever home!

Update: Jolene has a foster home lined up! We are urgently seeking a foster placement for Gus!

🚨 URGENT: Mama Is Rejecting Her Babies — We Need to Shift Fosters NOW

We had planned to finally introduce everyone to our newest little family... a sweet mama and her puppies who were dumped outside before ending up at Harris County Pets. We had already committed to taking them, and after waiting for the perfect foster home, they finally made it to safety.

But, as rescue so often reminds us... plans change.

Thankfully, mama and all of the puppies are healthy. Unfortunately, she has already begun rejecting two of her one-week-old puppies. These two little boys have no time to waste—they need around-the-clock bottle feedings every two hours to survive.

We have an incredible foster who is experienced with bottle babies and immediately offered to take them. The only problem? She is currently fostering Jolene and Gus.

That means we urgently need foster or adoptive homes for Jolene and/or Gus so their foster can make room for these fragile newborns.

🐾 Jolene – 9 weeks old, 9 lbs
🐾 Gus – 9 weeks old, 12 lbs

These Dachshund × Catahoula Leopard Dog mixes are expected to be medium-sized adults. They are playful, affectionate puppies who are wonderful with kids and would love families of their own. Whether you're able to foster or adopt, opening your home to one (or both!) of them will quite literally allow us to save the lives of these newborn puppies.

If you can help by fostering or adopting Jolene or Gus, please reach out to us AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Every hour counts when caring for one-week-old bottle babies, and we'd love to get them into the experienced hands of our amazing bottle feeder without delay.

Sometimes saving one life means making room for another. Today, Jolene and Gus have the chance to do exactly that. 💜
