We are sad to learn Engineer Charles “Chuck” Droessler, passed away on June 8, 2026.

Please keep his family, friends, and colleagues at the City of Tallahassee Fire Department in your thoughts and prayers.

With profound sadness, the Tallahassee Fire Department honors and remembers Engineer Charles “Chuck” Droessler, whose End of Watch was today, June 8, 2026.

Engineer Droessler served the Tallahassee Fire Department and our community with dedication, courage, and pride from August 14, 2015, until his passing. His commitment to the fire service, his fellow firefighters, and the citizens of Tallahassee left a lasting impact that will not be forgotten.

Please keep Chuck’s family, friends, and his TFD brothers and sisters in your thoughts during this difficult time. We are grateful for his service, his friendship, and the legacy he leaves behind.

Rest easy, Engineer Droessler. We’ll take it from here.

We remember our fallen firefighters.

On Saturday, May 23, Founder Jeff Morse, along with team members Nancy & Alfred Higginbotham, Stacy Zedek, Debbie Knupp, Stacey Justine, Ricky & Kelly Mercer, Joey & Kelli Santos, Mike Green, Jeff Peeler, and Laz Suarez, attended the Florida State Elks Association Convention to present a report on our 2025 Brotherhood Ride.

The convention also provided an opportunity to personally thank the Elks lodges that supported us during last year's ride and to recognize the lodges that will be hosting us during our 2026 Ride.

The Elks organization is made up of incredible people who have stood beside the Brotherhood Ride since the beginning of our mission. Their unwavering support, hospitality, and commitment to our cause continue to help us honor our fallen first responders and their families.

Thank you to all of the Elks members and lodges who help make our mission possible.
