Feeling the "Tech Neck" tension? 📱💻 Your posture doesn't have to suffer.
If you spend hours looking down at your phone or leaning into your laptop, you're likely familiar with "Tech Neck." This forward-head posture puts immense strain on your neck and upper back, leading to stiffness, headaches, and long-term discomfort.
At ActiveFit360, we help you reset your alignment and find relief. Here are 3 simple stretches you can do right at your desk to combat Tech Neck:
1️⃣ Chin Tucks: Sit tall and look straight ahead. Gently tuck your chin towards your chest (creating a "double chin"). Hold for 5 seconds and repeat 10 times. This strengthens the deep neck flexors that support your head.
2️⃣ Upper Trap Stretch: Sit on one hand to keep your shoulder down. Gently tilt your head towards the opposite shoulder until you feel a stretch in the side of your neck. Hold for 30 seconds on each side.
3️⃣ Chest Openers: Clasp your hands behind your back and gently lift your arms while squeezing your shoulder blades together. This opens up the chest and counteracts the rounded-shoulder posture.

1. Neutral Wrist Position: Keep your wrists straight, not bent up or down. Imagine a straight line from your forearm through your hand. Use a wrist rest if it helps maintain this alignment, but don't rest on it while typing.
2. Elbows at 90 Degrees: Adjust your chair height so your elbows are comfortably bent at a 90-degree angle, close to your body. This reduces strain on your shoulders and wrists.
3. Take Micro-Breaks: Every 20-30 minutes, take a 1-2 minute break to gently stretch your wrists and fingers. Simple wrist circles or finger extensions can help improve circulation and reduce stiffness.
