22 years ago, life offered an opportunity to launch into many new beginnings: a move from Chicago to Napa, CA, and the birth of FOLIA Design. I still remember the conversation around the kitchen table a few months before my move with a work colleague/friend who said, “If there’s anyone who could do it, it is you.” I was living out my dreams to see what I could do in building the life I wanted. Perspective is everything, and if you can connect the dots like me, it will humble you to the core.

I am incredibly proud of the work produced under FOLIA Design and grateful to the people I’ve worked with here in Napa and beyond. Thank you so very much!

Here we are in 2024, and I have some big news. Life met me again, with the opportunity to pivot and redirect where I needed to move towards. I am proud to announce that my new home is now West Sacramento, and I’ve accepted a new position with CalSTRS (California State Teachers Retirement System) as their Information Officer II/Content and Web Management Specialist. I feel so much gratitude (lucky too). I have a lot of pride in knowing I will be part of a world-class financial services organization that serves California’s public educators.

Our client let us know the label we designed for them won a SILVER award at the LA EVOO Competition for their olive oil packaging design.

Luretík was born in 2016 on ten acres in the fertile Santa Ynez Valley, just north of Santa Barbara, California, and named after the founder’s maternal lineage who were farmers. Translated in their native language, French Basque as “from this earth” became the foundation from which inspiration for the label design flourished.

We are so grateful to see such success and recognition be graced upon Luretík’s launch into the olive oil world. Big big congratulations right back at you!

In just a few weeks, Bally Keal will be opening their doors for their Grand Opening of their estate and tasting room. It has been such a pleasure and pride to be their creative partner in not only designing their brand but also in the variety of labels presented here. Bally Keal is more than just a winery... as they have spirits (and more to come), a brewery and gorgeous estate in neighboring Suisun Valley, just a 20 min drive from Napa Valley. Stay tuned!

Previously, this brand lived under its big brother brand, Purlieu Wines (next slide)… but required its own place in the www world. A remarkable brand, that needed its own way to express its story… all beginning with the concept of love and pairings.
