Murray Electric System would like to extend condolences to the family of Ronnie Burkeen. Ronnie worked for MES from 1993-2022 and filled the positions of Lineman, Line Foreman, and Operations Superintendent. We are saddened to hear the news of his passing, and are sending strength and comfort to the family as they navigate this challenging time.

The Murray Electric System Board of Directors have declared the following vehicle as surplus property and offered for sale to the highest bidder:

2008 Ford F-150 Regular Cab Pick-up Truck
Approximately 90,000 miles
Operable and fair condition
This vehicle will be sold AS-IS
No warranty or guarantees

The truck can be examined, and a bid form can be obtained by contacting MES Mechanic, Jeff Luffman at 270-762-1715 during business hours M-F 7:30-4:15.

Sealed bids will be due to the MES main office at 401 Olive St, Murray, KY no later than 3:00 PM on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. At that time, all bids shall be opened and read aloud. The property shall be awarded to the bidder offering the highest price and able to meet the conditions of the sale. A clean title will be delivered to the successful bidder.
