Today we joined NYPD, NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene & NYC Taxi and Limousine Commission to announce increased enforcement of speeding and drunk driving ahead of the holidays and a public awareness campaign around traffic safety laws & cannabis safety now that it is legal to possess in New York State.

While cannabis is now legal to possess, it is unsafe & illegal to drive while consuming or under the influence. The usage of cannabis before or while driving can negatively affect driving, including slowed reaction times, distorted perception & impaired coordination.
