MBOR Breakfast -TY Huntington Bank

Thank you to Huntington Bank for sponsoring today’s MBOR breakfast — it was a great meeting!

We heard a legislative update from Ray Joseph on current bills in the West Virginia Legislature, including proposed changes that could impact agency relationships and real estate practices.

We also learned more about the Monongalia County Schools Excess Levy, which provides critical local funding and supports approximately 21% of the county school system’s operating budget.

A highlight was hearing about Huntington’s Ignite the Classroom initiative, which sent 130 West Virginia middle school educators to the Ron Clark Academy for hands-on professional development — an incredible investment in teachers that directly impacts students across our state.

And thank you to everyone who donated diapers and other essentials for St. Ursula Food Pantry. Proud to be part of a board that shows up for our community.

Local REALTORS® kicked off the year with a productive morning at The Cranberry Hotel, focused on learning, collaboration, and serving our community.

Thank you to Turnkey Title and to Daniel Bonasso for sharing valuable insight on identifying real estate scams and protecting buyers and sellers from fraud. Education like this helps ensure our clients and community are well protected.

Tomorrow is the last day of 2025 so it'll be the last day for our '25 Board of Directors. The '26 Board of Directors begin on New Year's Day.
