DISASTER WILL SOON UNFOLD: Hurricane Melissa is strengthening rapidly tonight. It will reach Category Four or Five intensity, then move very slowly across Jamaica.

Mountains and hurricanes are the worst combination in weather and this storm will prove that point again across Jamaica and parts of Haiti and the Dominican Republic.

Prayers up for the people of those countries; I hope they take this storm seriously and that all efforts to protect life and property are taken with urgency.

Clouds are starting to fill the sky, showing that moisture is getting reintroduced to the atmosphere. Rain is just around the corner...
