Did you know the pineapple upside down cake was born in 1961?! Random fun fact for this Sunday. Last night we celebrated my mom turning 60 and incorporated things that were born when she was. My grandma used to make her a pineapple upside down cake on her birthday. She used this exact “birthday platter” for my mom and her 6 siblings birthday cakes.
