Colt Tylicki 926

Well there is too much to say but also not enough😭🙄 Regionals was not great for me this year. We’re disappointed and discouraged. We knew that the potential for a trip back to the ranch was not likely for my 7 year old self on a new bike in a new class, but it doesn’t make it hurt any less.
Moto 1 I struggled to keep the bike off the ground.. My heat was stacked with some very fast riders. Everytime I was making moves I’d have another crash putting me in an 18th position overall when I needed 16th to move onto the main.
Finding out I had to go to the LCQ was upsetting to say the least, because that is not something I have ever had to do at a big race like this.
Mom, Dad, and Grandpa talked to me about what I needed to fix for the LCQ in hopes I could make it top 8 out of 37… LCQ starts and I’m running 4th after a rough start, not bad, and doing everything that I was told to do perfectly…Then a fall…. Dropped to 13th and continued fighting..Boom… Fell again and this time I was out of tear offs so I could not see out of my goggles anymore… I managed to finish the race but in 17th place… It’s hard to catch up when you cannot see and go down twice… Baja dirt is not forgiving…
I know that I should have never been in the LCQ to begin with, but when things happen you have to take the day and hope for the best…..
Next step is training and perfecting the mistakes that cost my spot in the main….
Thank you to all of our sponsors, friends, and family who cheered me on. I will come back stronger next year for my road to Loretta’s 2027…..
