Heritage Canyon, IL
Walk the paths and you can hear it
the echo of the first town breathing
every board and window groan
a quiet promise
what was once washed away
can still return
if enough hands remember.

Lone Tree Canyon holds onto its secrets,
toads blinking from the fallen branches,
sun baked bones under shifting leaves,
and waterfalls thinning to memory.
Everything changing.
Everything letting go.

Did you know the fear of clowns is called coulrophobia. According to a survey carried out in 2016 by Chapman University, 7.8% of Americans that took part were afraid of clowns. The study looked at the top American fears and clowns came within the top four most common answers within personal fears.
