California just made a BIG announcement for our community in Stanislaus County: The Dos Rio Arts & Cultural District has been chosen as a new state-designated California Cultural District for 2026!
The program will help our community harness our unique cultural assets to stimulate the local economy, attract tourism, preserve historic sites, and support our vibrant, inclusive creative spaces.

Our district was selected as one of 10 demonstrating at the highest level the cultural legacy of our state's most valuable resource—its diversity.

Our District is named for the historic confluence of the Tuolumne and Stanislaus Rivers, “Dos Rios” symbolizes connection, collaboration, and flow—values at the heart of our thriving creative ecosystem. This designation celebrates the remarkable work of local artists, cultural organizations, and community partners who make our region vibrant, inclusive, and culturally rich.
