Inspired by my trip to Blue Ridge, GA. In this scene, we went fishing at Mercier Orchard and the views there was breathtaking.
I wanted to capture the stillness of nature & the quiet moments we often overlook. Seeing the empty chair in this particular position seemed so peaceful… for me, the empty chair symbolizes a space that’s waiting to be occupied by anyone seeking peace, solitude and a moment to reflect
This is the last footage I recorded of this painting because my phone died 🥲 After this video, I went back in and added some more details until I was fully satisfied & my mind told me I was done.
I need some new acrylic paint. ASAP 😅

Eastern Tiger Swallowtail 🦋

While on my vacation in Blue Ridge, Georgia, I came across this butterfly at the beginning of my hike to Fall Branch Falls. I’ve always been fascinated by butterflies & their cool wing patterns and vibrant colors. I’m so happy this swallowtail stayed still enough for me to take her photo 💛
At first, I only painted the swallowtail.. but after staring at it for a few minutes too long I decided I wanted to paint a scene for her. Which do you prefer?
