When I pulled into the gas station I noticed a man slumped over on his side in a car. His window was down, and I could tell when I looked inside the car that he was living in it. I wasn’t sure if the man was dead or alive.
As I got closer to the car I noticed he was breathing. I touched his arm and said, “Sir.” He sat up, and we began a thirty-minute conversation that included a lot of prayer and encouragement.
His name is Harvey, and he is 73. A long, long time ago he pastored a church. Now he preaches to the homeless like himself. When I asked if I could fill his tank up with gas, he pointed to his right front flat tire. He said he had a flat and no power steering so he probably couldn’t even back it up to the pump. I asked him how much money he needed to fix the tire and he said “$100.”

A private donor made it possible for this little seven-year-old paraplegic to receive an electric wheelchair. He was the victim of a random shooting last year that left him paralyzed. Thank you, ELEVATE HOPE, for his new wheels!

Rodney Morales, a precious husband, father, and grandfather passed into heaven unexpectedly last night. Rodney had a heart filled with selfless love. He was always patient, kind, and full of joy.
He possessed a humble, caring heart of compassion, which is of great value. During the family’s time of grief we are extending the love of Jesus to help with the funeral costs. Our goal is $10,000. We have raised $6100 in donations currently.
